Tea, Spice and Everything Nice

Well, here are a few more photos from our final days in India.

Anthony, chillaxin' at the Coconut Lagoon.

A parade of church goers

Where's Waldo? Ahem, I mean Anth and Alana?? Hiding in the treehouse at the spice garden

Nature Reserve Boat Ride. Life vest mandatory. Awesome.

Our favorite driver of the whole trip, Aneesh (definitely call him if you are ever in Kerala) and our trusty bus, Grace.

Well, it was a brisk 60 degress out. Gotta bundle up!

Do you know what happens when you ask someone to take a photo of you? THIS! Posing at the park with our closest 10 Indian buddies who jumped at the opportunity to be in a photo with us... you would too.

Swapna's cousin, Sai with us at his family's house. DELICIOUS lunch, and fantastic tour of their farm.

On the way to Puttaparthi to visit Sathya Sai Baba's Ashram. Interesting....

16 Days in Photos

We had big ambitions for blogging all along this journey, but don't you know us better than that?  We've done our best to briefly chronicle our adventures through India and Sri Lanka and the many hours spent traveling by air, boat, rickshaw, houseboat, and notably in a fine vehicle called the Palace on Road.  This may be the first and last post, so enjoy!

Rishikesh
After a launch into the Ganges' infamous Golf Course rapid,
Anthony's sins have been washed away.
No such luck for Amy, however.

Jammu Masjid Mosque
Alana and Megan in their finest muumuus for the famous mosque in Delhi.

Qutb Minar
Who knew there was a Hoover Tower in India?

Qutb Minar
Indians are so photogenic.

Ho Ho Ho
Christmas in Delhi.  We got desperate for some Santa.

Ganges Water
Swapna, Anthony, Megan T and Amy brought back some holy Ganges water as a holiday present for Markell, Alana, and Megan V.

Brokedown Palace
On the way to the Taj, quality control systems broke down for the Palace on Road. Alana and Anthony huddle for warmth.

Green Agra
Mmmm…recycling is delicious!

The Taj
Great new backgrounds available at Glamour Shots.

Cocktails!
Taking the edge off with a festive drink at the Mumbai airport.
Flying direct is overrated anyway.

Keep it classy

In the historic Galle Fort Hotel

Leshika's Mehndi
Prom.  Ethnic?

Post Wedding Brunch
Where's Anthony?  Where's Anthony?

Brunch, continued...
Ladies who brunch at a beachfront villa.  NBD (geris: that means no big deal).

Elephant Love
This is Megan's happy face.  Trust us.

Sigiriya Rock

We kicked this rock's ass

Dambulla Temple Rock Caves.
Where Buddhas outnumber humans

Monk on a Moto
Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance.

Cape Comorin
At the tip of the subcontinent

Indian Gothic
Don't let these two near your children, even though they've been blessed at the Hindu temple

On a Boat
On a houseboat in Kerala, down two peeps after Amy and Swapna departed.  We know they'd want us to have a good time, and as baby monkey has taught us, "you gotta keep on keeping on!!"

Happy Holidays from the Taj

Happy Holidays from us and 100,000 of our closest friends at the Taj. It was quite an experience - both awe inspiring and frenetic. Much more to come later.
